In today's climate successful businesses have recognised that electronic document management systems (EDMS) technology is needed to process the expanding volume of paperwork faster, more efficiently and error-free.

 One of the most paper intensive parts of any business is the Accounts Payable (AP) function; the whole process is costly and protracted. The AP process in many businesses is still largely a manual process - enter key invoice data onto your accounting system, validating the data, invoice authorisation, payment and subsequent filing of all the paperwork. It is all extremely time consuming, and with possible delays you could lose supplier discounts and/or face late payment penalties.

 According to research carried out by the Hackett Group, manual AP processes are costing businesses on average £2 - £4 per invoice to processes. Other research suggests that where invoices go missing or have a complex approval process the costs can be as high as £20 per invoice. Regardless of the processes you have in place, if you are manually processing invoices then there will be a real opportunity to improve efficiency and save money.

 Cull has worked extremely hard to develop services and identify solutions in the marketplace that will solve these issues. Using sophisticated technology we can digitally capture an image of an invoice, capture all the invoice data, validate this data and export it into your Accounting system. The corresponding image is then archived and the invoices can then be sent around the organisation for approval electronically. Approvals or rejections can then automatically update the status in the accounting system or an alert can be sent to accounts payable staff.

Because our systems and services are Inland Revenue Approved are compliant with legal admissibility guidelines, you can simply store your invoice images digitally for seven years and destroy the original paper copies.
