Cull Micro Imaging wins special achievment award for business progression

Leading document management company Cull Micro Imaging, based in Birkenhead, has been presented with the Special Achievement Award at the inaugural Merseyside Special Investment Fund (MSIF) Family Business Awards.
The business started out as wedding photographers in 1926 and as technology progressed and evolved, so did the company into Cull Reprographics providing microfilming services in the 1960s. Today Cull Micro Imaging is one of the UK's leading providers of document management solutions, with clients including Marks & Spencer Financial Services, Littlewoods and OGC The Buying Agency.
The company is now run by brothers Damian Cull, who is managing director, and Tim Cull who is the sales director.
Chairman of MSIF, Professor Michael Hulme, congratulated the company on its achievements and commented: "Cull Micro Imaging thoroughly deserved to win the MSIF Family Business Award for Special Achievement. The judges were impressed with how it had moved with the times, transforming what started out as a photography business into a thriving high-technology document management solutions company.
"Damian and Tim Cull are an innovative, hard working team who beat off stiff competition to emerge as a just winner. We wish them continued success."
The most recent technological development at Cull Micro Imaging has been the purchase of a Kodak Document Archive Writer machine. This equipment produces microfilm with over 100 years of archival permanence from scanned documents and is designed to address customers' needs for an additional copy of an electronic record. This is a state-of-the-art machine and is now providing customers with the added security of a microfilm backup for mission critical documents.
