Our Green Agenda

16/06/2008

Many of our customers use our document management solutions and services to help achieve their "Green" objectives. Electronic document management and imaging will significantly reduce paper consumption, will reduce the need for facilities to store paper and reduce the need to transport physical files. To compliment the benefits of using our products and services we have launched our own Green Agenda.

As part of our plan we are offsetting our carbon emissions by planting trees using money received for the destruction of clients paper. At the current rate we will become carbon neutral in 2009.

Our Green Agenda also focuses on education and encouragement of employees and clients:

Greener Travel – Staff are encouraged to car share and travel by public transport.

Home Working – Where possible we encourage staff to work from home negating travel into work. This step alone will reduce our carbon emissions by 10 tons per year.

Online Software Demonstrations – To reduce travel to customer sites we are promoting online software demonstrations rather than face-to-face meetings. This step will help us reduce our carbon emissions by 1 ton per year.

Staff Education  – An education initiative is underway to encourage staff to turn off lights and equipment when not in use.

Green Ideas – We are open to and encourage ideas from both clients and staff on how we can reduce our carbon footprint.

Green Facilities - We will continually look at ways to improve the carbon footprint of our offices and production facilities through effective lighting, timed switches etc.
